Haluhalo Hard Enamel Pin
Haluhalo is a delicious Filipino dessert that's composed of a hodgepodge of ingredients. It comes from the word "halo" which means "mix" and is also commercially known as "halo-halo". Usually eaten as a way to cool down on a typical humid day in Manila or just as a yummy treat for merienda (a mid-afternoon snack).
The ingredients of haluhalo are usually shaved ice, ube (purple yam) ice cream, ube jam, sweetened saba (stewed plaintain), langka (jackfruit), sweet white beans, red and green gulaman (agar jelly), macapuno (shredded young coconut), sweet red kaong (sugar palm), sweet garbanzo beans, leche flan, and pinipig (toasted rice flakes).
